Endangered Animals

Hi, today i will be sharing what i did my quick write about. I wrote my quick write about endangered animals, we had to answer 4 questions, 1. what does "endangered" mean? 2. In what way are humans responsible for endangering animals? 3. Why must we protect endangered animals? 4. What can humans do to protect endangered animals?. Now I will show you what I wrote in my book below.

When an animal is "endangered" it means their at an extremely high risk of being extinct, and not many animals are left in the world. 200-2,00 animals extinctions occur every year! Tigers, Rhinoceros, Polar bears and Pandas are endangered today. The Tiger is one of the most endangered animals in the world, we only have 3,900 left, but 30 years ago we had about 100,000.

Humans are responsible for endangering animals because of the pollution humans release in the air, it is destroying animals habitats. Humans also eat and hunt animals for their tusks, for example a long time ago there was a species of birds called "Dodo". When hungry sailors arrived on the island of Mauritius, they ate the Dodo birds and soon these birds became endangered. A few months later, they were extinct.

We should protect endangered animals because they are a big part of our planet and without them the Earth would become a horrible place, if we let endangered animals go extinct we will be at risk with our own health, because we won't have much nature and without nature there is no oxygen.

Humans can protect endangered animals by walking or biking instead of driving, eating less meat, recycling/less pollution and spreading risks around the world. If humans produce less smoke and gas, animals homes will become safer. Sadly, cars produce lots of bad chemicals into our Earth so do planes, motorcycles and any other vehicles. Let's do some of these things to save our Earth!
